JUST A LITTLE CHRISTMAS PRESENT
JUST A LITTLE CHRISTMAS PRESENT
I woke up Christmas morning, excited as ever, knowing that some of the presents under the tree were for me! I ran out of my bedroom, and saw a huge present bigger than me! I looked at it and it felt... soft and squishy? I had no clue what it was. My mom, dad, sister, and brother finally came downstairs to start opening all of the gifts under the tree. I could see how excited they were too! We all started with our stockings.....
After I opened my electric piano, mint chocolates, clothes, electric bugs, stuffed angel bear, plush cat blanket, Sims 2 games, fuzzy socks, CD’s, body pillow, and pens, I had one last gift to open. My parents handed me a huge box. First I opened the box, and it was inside another box, that was in a bag wrapped in Kleenex. After five minutes went by of me unwrapping the present, I was finally down to the end. I unwrapped the very last of the tissue paper, and there it was.....My Ipod Nano Comatic. My Christmas list was complete. It was just what I wanted. Everything was so special! Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! I hope next year is just like this one!

Barbara Review
About four weeks ago, Barbara came to our school and showed our class how to make origami boxes. I had to fold the paper many different ways. We blew into them and she took them to make her sculpture. When we went to the art gallery I saw Barbara's artwork. It was magnificent! I thought I would see our boxes in it and they were, all over the place. It was so unique to see and I thought it was cool how my breath is in a piece of art. I would rate her sculpture out of 5 stars, 4! Great work Barbara!

Bob Boyer Review
Bob Boyer was a famous painter who was born in 1948 and sadly died in 2004. His birthplace was in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Most of his artwork is very creative and unique. Many paintings are bright, cheerful, and colourful. My favourite is called, 'A Smallpox Issue'-1983. I like how the ringed circles represent families who have died from the smallpox disease. In some of his art pieces, the trees and grass are very realistic and detailed. They are AMAZING! Bob has many paintings including, A Seven Arrow Storm-1984, Scene/Seen at St.Victor's-1993, A Smallpox Issue -1983, Self-Portrait as Twins-1999, the Mountains, the Night and the 49-1988. They are all unique in their own way!
When we went to the MacKenzie Art Gallery, we went to many places, the front entrance, coat area, gallery, and art studio. The art gallery was huge! Our tour guide, Lindsey, showed our group many paintings on canvas and a few on blankets by Bob. Some activities we did along the way were: we got a piece of paper with twelve circles and we had to draw things made out of circles. It was a lot of fun! I drew, glasses,a smiley face, a sun,a snowman, the earth, a wheel, a ball, an eyeball, a donut, a basketball, and a piece of candy. Also, we got a bag of different shapes of felt, and in small groups we had to create a piece of artwork. My group called ours, 'Bon Appetite', because it looked like a plate of sushi. The last activity we did was, to make a pastel picture that was the same on both sides or in all four corners. It was very interesting on our tour, I would rate it 4 stars. There was some boring parts but, overall, it was good. Great work everyone!

Regina Youth Ballet Review
When the 1st dance started it was a solo of a girl with a tutu on and that was what I expected to see during the performances. When Connie, the organizer of the ballet came up and told the crowd different parts of the ballerina and then asked her to turn around and show her bottom, that was very funny. As the performances went on the steps and costumes changed. I would have liked to see more bright and cheerful colours for the costumes though. The lighting during all the dances was perfect. I liked how it made there body and faces all different colours. The costume for the 1700's was very good. It was good how they used gray, curly gudge hair. I also enjoyed, how most of the dances were all different and they all had perfect syncronization. All the dancers new exactly where or what to do next. That would be very difficult for me to do. Out of all the 7 dances at the beginning, pop, trance, trout, scurry, roll, dart, and bounce, I personally enjoyed "Scurry"! It surprized me how the crawled on their hands and feet entering and leaving the stage. All of the performances had different movements and levels to them too. Some parts of the dances were strange to watch and I have to say I didn't really like how they played the old classical music. That's just my opinion though. Having the sheets and stools as props was very interesting too. The last dance was very good. I liked how the dance began with the sheets over themselves and how the sat up and then sat back down. The overall performance from my view was awesome! I would rate it 3 and a 1/2 stars! Awesome show and great work performers!
